boy, it’s hot out here.
southern california apparently didn’t think the heat was bad enough. it decided to throw in some fires (forrest and chemical) into the mix and hurt the (already not great) air quality. wonderful.
monday: otf (2.4 treadmill miles, 30 min cross train) before work, kickball after (1 hour cross train)
tuesday: the ffsb (fleet feet sports burbank) workout was cancelled due to air quality (from this fire), so i went to otf instead (1.8 miles run/row, 30 min cross train)
wednesday: twins/angels game with rebecca and marshall (rest day)
thursday: another rest day to catch up on grocery shopping and sleep
friday: otf (2.1 miles run/row, 30 min cross train), kickball at night (i played catcher for innings 2 through 6) (1 hour cross train)
saturday: ffsb trail run in tarzana (7 miles) then a run to the nike missile site with sparky and meghan (7 miles), then work
sunday: 3 flat miles in the heat
weekly mileage goal: 28 miles
total miles: 23.6 miles
cross training: 2.5 hours
foam rolling: 0 minutes
– i tried a sample of hammer heed on saturday and i really enjoyed it. i think the recoverite also helped.
– i accidentally ran in my pink mizuno road shoes on the trails on saturday instead of my pink mizuno trail shoes. i had no idea while i was out there, and didn’t notice until sunday afternoon.
– my mileage will drop this week due to a kickball tournament on saturday and a 5k on sunday. i am going to try and run more during the week but i’m worried about falling behind in my training.
– did i mention how hot it is here?
