my training has been … inconsistent… to say the least. i hope it doesn’t affect the race in three weeks. this is because… i moved to denver! (but if you’re reading this, we are friends and you know about the move) the move has disrupted my training between traveling to denver, trying to see and do everything in LA before i left, and then adjusting to the elevation of denver.

– the elevation has really affected me. there’s the obvious difficulty running (or at least running more slowly than normal), but what has been more difficult/frustrating/surprising is my lack of sleep. the elevation has been causing me to wake up (and like, really wide awake) every night since i moved here. i wanted to wake up and run/workout before work, but in the morning i am exhausted. hopefully it will get better with time.
– i love otf here! my treadmill speeds are way slower than in california, but they offer a variety of classes (i took a 90 min class on saturday instead of the regular 60 min class) and during class the front desk person come around to fill everyone’s water bottles up!
– my work offers free crossfit, yoga, and pilates classes. i plan to try these in the next couple weeks.
twenty days to bulldog!
