so much for that plan.
last tuesday i started to have a sore throat. to not make it worse (in my mind at least) i didn’t run tuesday night. wednesday morning it still hurt so i skipped november project. on thursday i flew to california with a fever.
i write this from the pharmacy at my local doc. luckily it’s nothing worse than a flu, but it’s been over a week since i broke a sweat (from a workout at least, the fever messed with me a bit).
i am trying to be as optimistic as possible. i wouldn’t say i was in a rut but this has put a fire behind me to get my act together, training wise. i still have over 10 weeks so all hope isn’t lost. but i need to be diligent to hit my weekly miles. no more slacking on the long runs. no more sleeping in.
i am not sure how many more days i will take off but i am afraid to start up again too soon and get sick again.
