update: i decided to re-start my training on june 18 with a plan through trainingpeaks.com, so i have renamed this week and last “pre-training” weeks.
monday: hockey, we lost
tuesday: trivia, no run (family pet crisis)
wednesday: an attempt to get pedicures with m that turned into watching the hockey game
thursday: 2 miles
friday: 3.6 miles around the rose bowl, then kickball (we won, 2-1)
saturday: 3.1 miles at the color run
sunday: 6.2 miles at the midnight mission 10k, and then at kickball we won the championship (in extra innings, 3-2)!
total miles: 14.9 miles (compared to my goal of 25)
currently listening to: my same playlist from the marathon training, no new songs
what i learned this week:
– i don’t enjoy listening to book on tape while i run. i zone out too much, and i need the rhythm and pump up from music
– i need to eat before i run. pretty obvious, i know. on my thursday 2 mile run, i didn’t eat before and i struggled just running 2 miles. then friday i ate banana chips and some dry roasted peanuts before my run, and i had so much energy.
– i need to drink more water during the week.
