i did it!!!
there’s a whole marathon recap coming, but suffice it to say it went well. i beat my PR by 18 minutes and felt fine before, during, and after.
the week leading up to it was especially lazy.
tuesday: 1.7 miles with the training group
wednesday: i skipped hockey (for fear of hurting myself right before the race)
thursday: i saw “deadpool”
friday: rest, went out to dinner with my parents
saturday: 1.3 miles with the training group as our shake out run
sunday: the race!!!
total: 29.2 miles
attached is my final weekly mileage chart. now that i’m using strava i don’t know if i’ll do that again, but it’s an interesting representation of my marathon training. i think i probably should have had more 30+ mile weeks, but my fitness classes aren’t included and built strength on lower mileage weeks.
