this week i had my best long run. i don’t know if it was the relaxing from not working on christmas eve/christmas, or the large quantities of meat and brown rice i consumed the night before at gyu kaku.
monday: orange theory fitness class
tuesday: 5.6 miles of hill repeats on freeway overpasses
wednesday: orange theory fitness class
thursday: orange theory fitness class, then cross stitch and movies
friday: rest (more cross stitch and some gyu kaku)
saturday: 20 miles! it was the best long run i have ever had, i felt unstoppable, and i ran it at a 9:40 pace. all i could think was, “so this is what running without knee pain feels like.”
sunday: 8.8 miles up/down potato mountain with fleet feet as part of their trail series
total: 34.5 miles (and 3 workout classes)
the marathon is 6 weeks away! only 1 more long run i think (22 miles) and then the dreaded taper.
