six days to the marathon!
now that the physical preparation is done, i’m in mental preparation mode.
monday: ran 2.8 miles
tuesday: ran 3.9 miles with the marathon training group (tempo run)
wednesday: hockey (we lost 7-2)
thursday: i skipped boot camp to try and shake off a cold
saturday: ran 9.3 miles with the marathon training group and played softball (we won!)
total: 16 miles
the best news is that my knee didn’t have the usually scheduled sharp pain at 8 miles (so hopefully the cortisone shot worked). this week i am resting, flying to minnesota, and running the race!
