monday: hockey (we lost, last game of the season)
tuesday: 3 miles (pyramid sprints, my favorites)
wednesday: 3 miles (then dodgers game at night)
friday: 3 miles (then kickball at night)
saturday: 10 miles + 2 walking + 70 min of yoga
total miles: 21 miles
i tried to keep my running light last week due to my it band issues. i also iced, foam rolled, took advil, and went to yoga. but when saturday’s run came, my it band still hurt. i ended up seeing a doctor this past monday and was given a few more options to treat my knee.
this week, i have a kickball tournament both saturday and sunday, so i will be “cross training” and taking a week off from a long run. my mileage will be very low this week, but hopefully combined with more strength training, yoga, foam rolling, and icing (and physical therapy next week), i will be able to hit at least two 19+ mile runs before tapering down.
