less than a week to the marathon!
last week i took it easy (by orders of the coach).
monday: hockey (first game of this season of d2, we lost 10-0)
tuesday: tempo run, the coach told me to only run 3 of the assigned 5 miles
wednesday: kickball (we won 4-2 i think)
thursday: rest day
friday: kickball (we won 15-2) then pick up hockey
saturday: nothing! the coach instructed me (and anyone who was injured) not to come to the final 10 mile run. instead i took a practice gmat (needless to say, i would have rather been running)
sunday: coaster run 10k with matt from work
total miles: 9.2
bad news: marathon day (sunday) will have record high temperatures. we got an email from the marathon saying to run slowly on sunday. i am saddened by this because i was really hoping to beat 5 hours, but now it looks like i’ll just try to finish without getting heat stroke.
