this morning i ran the knott’s berry farm coaster run 10k.
arriving at the race was a bit brutal considering daylight savings and the distance from home.
when i arrived at knott’s berry farm, i met up with my coworker matt and his family. we went over to the starting line 10 minutes before the race was supposed to start.
the race took a bit to start. they sectioned people off into 10+ corrals and waited 5 minutes between each. our corral didn’t start until 30 minutes after the national anthem.
the first couple miles of the race were inside the park. i’ve never been to knott’s berry farm so it was fun to see what the park looks like. the third mile was inside “soak city”, a currently dry water park. the last few miles were around a mall across from the park.
as soon as we finished, we turned in our timing chips, got our medals, and then got in line for boisenberry pie! what a wonderful idea, i wish all races ended with a piece of pie.
