my parents and i have been discussing our thanksgiving meal since mid-october (you can trust our family to plan meals over a month in advance).
so far we have decided
– we are cooking a meal instead of going out to a restaurant
– we are not cooking a turkey
on the phone yesterday, we started entertaining the idea of just doing appetizers and desserts for our meal, because let’s be honest, those are the best parts.
i haven’t started researching desserts yet, but here are some thanksgiving appetizers that look especially delicious.
goat cheese crackers with hot pepper jelly i made this last year and i am still convinced that goat cheese and pepper jelly are the perfect combination.
cranberry, butternut, and brussel sprout brie skillet nachos i do love nachos.
bacon wrapped dates with goat cheese i made these for a kentucky derby party earlier this year and they were delicious. they’ve already been vetoed by my parents for thanksgiving though.
baked cream cheese wontons that will probably never taste as good as the ones at leeann chin
cranberry baked brie puff pastry
most of these appetizers seem to revolve around cheese. not that i mind.
